I am a Siberia-born writer and journalist trained in philosophy, whose work examines Russian history, family legacy and the myths and legends of my native region. My novels engage contemporary political and philosophical concerns while rooted in local culture.
I have published multiple books and contributed to outlets such as Radio Liberty/Radio Free Europe, Echo of Moscow and Takie Dela, and I have experience in cultural journalism, creative writing, international literary collaboration and public speaking.
I have been recognized with the TEFI Award (2003, as part of TV-2 team) and the NOS Literary Award (2017), and I continue to write fiction and essays that respond to the pressing social and political issues of my time.
