Andrei Geanta
@andreigeanta
Physics lecturer and particle-physics researcher focused on data-driven analysis.
What I'm looking for
I’m a Physics Lecturer who teaches Thermodynamics, Electromagnetism, and General physics. I enjoy turning complex concepts into clear, testable understanding for students.
Since 2017, I’ve built my career in elementary-particle physics, joining the ATLAS Collaboration at CERN. Through my roles as Research Assistant, Postdoctoral Research Assistant, and Scientific Researcher, I’ve worked “on data science” within high-energy physics research.
My research includes a PhD thesis on “Search for supersymmetry in the single-lepton final state and NCB studies in the ATLAS experiment at the LHC.” I’ve also contributed to analysis efforts spanning years of experimental work, from early research support to postdoctoral-level investigation.
I bring formal accelerator and physics training from the CERN Accelerator School (Electromagnetism, Relativity, Beam dynamics). I’ve presented at international conferences and earned the “Marin Ivasșu Prize for remarkable scientific contributions of young researchers” (2019).
