I’m an Azure Data Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on cloud engineering experience and 17+ years in IT, specializing in building scalable, cloud-native data platforms on Azure. I focus on modernizing legacy ETL into reliable, analytics-ready architectures that perform and stay cost-efficient.

Across my roles, I’ve migrated legacy ETL systems to modern architectures, delivering 40% performance improvement and 25% cost reduction. I build end-to-end pipelines with Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Databricks, using Delta Lake for ACID transactions, schema evolution, and time travel to support reliable rollback and auditability.

My approach combines strong engineering fundamentals with practical optimization: I implement incremental ingestion, data cleansing, aggregation, and Medallion Architecture (Bronze–Silver–Gold). I also design transformation layers in PySpark and Spark SQL that process 50GB+ daily, using partitioning and caching optimizations to reduce job execution time.

I’m equally comfortable with governance and operations—securing platforms with Azure RBAC and managed identities, enabling CI/CD for ADF and Databricks via Azure DevOps and GitHub, and supporting high availability/disaster recovery concepts when needed.
