At SHAWNEE HEALTH SERVICE, I provide advanced clinical care in women’s health and OB/GYN, using medical literature, clinical guidelines, and patient-specific factors to inform treatment decisions.
I reviewed evidence and translated it into an office-based pain-management protocol. After I presented the evidence to administration, nursing, and providers across two OBGYN offices, the organization adopted an in-office protocol.
I communicate clinical and scientific information to healthcare professionals, patients, and families, adapting it to their needs. I also precept NP students and residents, drawing on 11 years of clinical education, mentorship, case discussion, and feedback experience.
My background includes rural women’s health and OB/GYN care at CHRISTOPHER RURAL HEALTH PLANNING CORPORATION and nursing in obstetrics, neonatal intensive care, and pediatrics at MEMORIAL HOSPITAL OF CARBONDALE. I’m also an AANP-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and an ANCC-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
