@amandaaiad
Clinical pharmacist specializing in acute care, residency-trained to optimize medication safety and outcomes.
What I'm looking for
I am a residency-trained clinical pharmacist currently practicing at Emory University Hospital after completing PGY1 training at Wellstar Kennestone and Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center. I deliver consistent, evidence-based medication therapy to hospitalized patients across acute-care settings.
My daily practice includes in-depth patient profile reviews, interdisciplinary consultation to develop medication plans, narcotic dispensing and reconciliation in procedural areas, and oversight of sterile compounding, IV batching, and parenteral nutrition. I also serve as Editor-in-Chief of my department's monthly newsletter, advancing communication and practice updates.
I have led research as Primary Investigator on long-acting lipoglycopeptide utilization in the emergency department and completed a review of new FDA-approved Ebola treatments, presenting posters at ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting & Exhibition. I regularly contribute to medication use evaluations, code response teams, and practice management initiatives.
I bring leadership experience as Chief Pharmacy Resident and former Pharmacy Student Council president, plus certifications in ACLS, BLS, and immunization delivery. I am committed to medication safety, teaching, quality improvement, and collaborative patient-centered care in hospital settings.
