I’m a Backend Engineer with 15 years of experience building and maintaining data infrastructure and APIs around complex, multi-year systems. For the last 7 years, I’ve owned a Python + Odoo + GraphQL platform—handling API surface ownership, supplier integrations, and search infrastructure.

I led a multi-year rebuild from a legacy Python stack to Odoo, building a custom Odoo GraphQL API with products, checkout, auth (API keys + MFA), and a response-caching layer with table-aware invalidation. I also delivered the Parts Catalog feature set, including data modeling, GraphQL queries, multi-website partitioning, and an Odoo to Wagtail sync that materializes catalog pages as native CMS records.

On the data and search side, I consolidated multiple manufacturer integrations into a single Odoo module with credentials management, backorder detection, and real-time stock sync. I migrated search from custom Elasticsearch to AWS Kendra (indexing pipelines, suggestions, faceting, feedback endpoints) and built the platform’s first NLP capability—a Haystack-based question-answering feature over marine-parts documents.

Earlier, as Head of Database Development, I led a migration of an oil and gas monitoring platform from a legacy proprietary DBMS to PostgreSQL, integrating multiple Python services and managing a small team. I also rewrote the DBMS backup pipeline, improving runtime roughly 10x.
