ALEJANDRO JAVIER CASTRO MELGOZA

I’m a final-year student in Financial Administration & Systems at the Universidad de Guadalajara, with hands-on experience in financial statement analysis, investment portfolio construction, and automated financial modeling in Excel. I bring a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and clear communication in both Spanish and English.

In my academic work, I constructed a diversified equity portfolio using Markowitz modern portfolio theory and risk-return optimization, including periodic performance reports with variance analysis and investment recommendations. I also completed financial statement analysis for BMV issuers using ratios (P/E, EBITDA, ROE, DuPont) plus horizontal and vertical analysis, turning findings into executive-level investment reports.

Through my internship at Diako ABC, I analyzed operational and financial data to identify cost-reduction opportunities, prepared comparative supplier evaluations and cost reports, and collaborated cross-functionally to ensure data accuracy and timely reporting. I’m especially motivated to automate reporting and KPIs in Excel—making financial insights faster, cleaner, and easier to act on.
