What I'm looking for

I want to build backend systems on AWS that scale reliably. I’m excited by microservices ownership, deep observability (tracing, dashboards), and security-focused engineering—where I can reduce incidents, improve performance, and ship measurable outcomes.

Backend engineer who likes building things that scale. Spent the last 3 years working on microservices, cloud-native systems, and distributed architectures on AWS mostly Python and Django, with a lot of time spent in Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, and CloudWatch.

Really enjoy the data side of backend work - optimising queries, digging through logs, understanding why something is slow or broken. The debugging rabbit holes are honestly the best part.

Currently getting deeper into system design and event-driven systems (Kafka, async messaging). AWS certified. Looking for backend roles at product companies with interesting systems to work on.
