What I'm looking for

I’m seeking to contribute my capabilities in research and development, testing, and instrumentation projects within technology companies, particularly in photonics and laser R&D, optical instrumentation, test engineering, opto-mechatronic systems integration, and physical modeling.

At the National Institute of Astrophysics, Optics and Electronics (INAOE), I developed and characterized, in collaboration with the research team, a thulium/holmium co-doped fiber laser emitting near 2 µm. It incorporated a nonlinear optical loop mirror and reached 1.45 W average output power without external amplification.

I evaluated the laser’s optical spectrum, output power, temporal signal, RF spectrum, and autocorrelation, recording 0.28% RMS relative power variation over four hours of continuous operation. I also processed experimental data, modeled operating conditions, and prepared technical reports and graphs.

My master’s research at INAOE investigated soliton generation, noise-like pulses, and dual-wavelength emission in a thulium-doped fiber laser. I’m interested in contributing to photonics and laser R&D, optical instrumentation, test engineering, opto-mechatronic systems integration, and physical modeling projects.
