At SKUAST-K, I conducted postgraduate research on summer pruning in Fuji Zhen Aztec apple plants. My thesis examined how pruning intensity and timing affected growth, yield, fruit quality and leaf physiological parameters.

I collected, analyzed and interpreted data on growth, yield and fruit quality. The work also gave me practical experience in experimental design, data recording and statistical analysis.

My training in fruit science includes fruit crop production and management, post-harvest handling, and integrated pest and disease management. I also have basic experience with precision agriculture, GIS and remote sensing.

I completed an M.Sc. in Horticulture (Fruit Science) at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology of Kashmir. I’m interested in sustainable horticulture, plant productivity and contributing to agricultural development.
