I've researched quantum-dot-enhanced polymer solar cells at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, where my PhD examined the role of quantum dots in functional layers of thin-film polymer solar cells and received the 2025 Best PhD (Physics) Thesis award.
My published work investigates photocurrent collection, charge transfer, charge recombination, nanoparticle doping, and quantum-dot applications in organic solar cells. I work across functional-material synthesis and characterization, photovoltaic device fabrication, and thin-film solar-cell research.
I've also taught physics at Southwestern University and the University of KwaZulu-Natal, delivering undergraduate practical and theory courses, supervising projects, and mentoring researchers in PV-device fabrication.
