Abicakra Mahardika
@abicakramahardika
Research and evaluation fellow at LSE, assessing grant proposals and studying how national policy affects economic inequality.
What I'm looking for
At the International Trans Fund, I evaluated 40–60 grant proposals annually against impact and due-diligence criteria. I also co-led panel deliberations informing approximately $1M in resource allocation each cycle.
At LSE, I designed and delivered a mixed-methods dissertation on how a national policy affects economic inequality. I combined regression analysis with qualitative fieldwork for my research on trans men and transmasculine people in Indonesia.
As an Atlantic Fellow for Social and Economic Equity, I combine postgraduate study with leadership development and engagement with an international community working on social and economic inequality. My research has also included fieldwork across Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
I co-founded a national advocacy network that grew from a small support group into a five-year institution. I’m open to evaluation, research, or grantmaking roles where rigour and real-world impact both matter.
