At KFUEIT’s High Voltage Engineering Lab, I researched epoxy-based nanocomposite insulators, using COMSOL Multiphysics simulations and machine learning models to evaluate dielectric performance and predict breakdown voltage.
I prepared and stability-tested nanocomposite formulations, performed high-voltage experiments, and validated results against IEC standards. My research contributed to three conference publications on insulation and power cable performance.
For my final year project, I developed a COMSOL and machine-learning framework for predicting insulation health and breakdown voltage. I also contributed to implementing a solar-powered water treatment system that provided safe drinking water to over 500 people in an off-grid rural community.
