Statistical data science student building and validating flood simulations and a 910M-parameter Hindi language model.

At Indian Statistical Institute, I’m studying Statistical Data Science, with coursework in probability, statistical inference, and machine learning.

I reworked FloodRisk AI’s grid-based flood simulator around event-scale SCS-CN runoff and conservative spatial routing. I validated the pipeline with 79 passing tests and blocked dataset scaling when localized depth outputs failed the resolution-convergence gate.

I pretrained a 910M-parameter Hindi-first language model from scratch and built an evaluation benchmark and supervised fine-tuning pipeline. Through AI evaluation engagements with Mercor and Uber AI Solutions, I reviewed model responses for correctness, reasoning quality, and instruction adherence.
