Aastha Agnihotri
@aasthaagnihotri
Backend engineer student building production REST APIs, microservices, and AWS services.
What I'm looking for
I’m a final-year Computer Science Engineering student with a strong focus on Python backend engineering, REST APIs, and microservices. I bring hands-on experience building production-grade systems and staying comfortable shipping under ambiguity.
Across projects and assessments, I’ve built and integrated backend components end-to-end—designing API contracts, validating business logic with graph algorithms (DAG validation), and pairing dynamic frontend behavior with reliable FastAPI interfaces. I also emphasize high-ownership engineering, CI/CD-driven reliability, and fault-isolated services.
Recently, I completed a full-stack technical assessment for VectorShift (YC S23), implementing a React/FastAPI system under time constraints with real algorithm logic, dynamic UI components, and structured API integration. I’m now looking to apply this machine-coding and production-delivery mindset to build dependable backend platforms on AWS and modern cloud stacks.

Tata Steel AI Hackathon 2026
Tata Steel
Jan 2026 - Present (6 months)
Built a 31-model ML ensemble pipeline for the Tata Steel AI Hackathon 2026 (HackerEarth) under strict evaluation constraints and live leaderboard pressure.
Meta Hackathon 2025 Project
Meta
Jan 2025 - Present (1 year 6 months)
Built and deployed a containerised Python microservices platform for the Meta Hackathon 2025, owning architecture, implementation, testing, and deployment end-to-end. Implemented stateless FastAPI REST endpoints with clear schemas and robust error handling.
VectorShift Technical Assessment
VectorShift
Completed a full-stack technical assessment for VectorShift (YC S23), designing and implementing a React/FastAPI system end-to-end under time constraints. Included DAG validation logic, dynamic UI components, and frontend-backend API integration.
