At AMD Metall, I moved the cutting-stock solver from the server into a Web Worker, reducing p95 latency from 2.1 seconds to 40 milliseconds. I also kept recalculations and guest calculations on the client, cutting backend requests from about 1,800 to about 150 per day.
For the cutting-stock calculator, I implemented three algorithms and a benchmark over 23 saved orders. I found and fixed a quadratic slowdown in the packer, reducing its runtime from 2,457 milliseconds to 6 milliseconds with identical results.
I built the calculator’s interface for cutting schemes, printing, PDF export, and calculation history, with keyboard and screen-reader accessibility. I also integrated payments with HMAC-SHA256-verified webhooks and idempotent handling of repeated notifications.
On Mingitau, I built an interactive event seating map and a generator for SVG hall geometry. I also implemented expiring seat holds in Redis, payment status synchronization, PDF tickets with QR codes, and a browser QR scanner for staff.
