Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Wire Annealing Supervisor to oversee and enhance the wire annealing processes within our manufacturing operations. This role is crucial in ensuring the quality, efficiency, and safety of wire processing, while leading a dedicated team of technicians and operators. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives, implement best practices, and ensure compliance with industry standards to achieve optimal processing results.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the annealing process of wire products, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of wire processing technicians, fostering a culture of safety and high performance
- Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement preventive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime
- Analyze process data and production metrics to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost reductions
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and quality assurance measures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate cross-functionally with quality control, engineering, and logistics teams to coordinate production initiatives
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in wire manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of wire annealing processes, materials, and equipment
- Proven track record of leading teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
Preferred:
- Experience with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing methodologies
- Familiarity with ISO standards and quality control processes
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in using data analysis tools and manufacturing software
- Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems related to wire processing
- Experience with process optimization techniques and equipment calibration
