Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Glazier Supervisor to lead our team of glazing professionals in executing complex projects, ensuring quality installations, and maintaining safety standards. In this fully remote role, you will leverage your expertise in glass installation and project management to oversee operations and mentor team members, while collaborating with clients and architects to deliver exceptional results.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of glaziers, providing guidance and support throughout all phases of glass installation projects
- Review project specifications and blueprints to determine project requirements and plan installation processes
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies by conducting regular safety meetings and training
- Perform quality control assessments and inspections to guarantee that installations meet industry standards
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to effectively manage project timelines and deliverables
- Mentor and train team members on best practices in glazing techniques and safety protocols
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in the glazing industry, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of glass installation techniques, materials, and safety standards
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
Preferred:
- Experience with large-scale commercial glazing projects
- Certification in safety management or relevant industry training
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with glazing tools and equipment
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations related to glazing
