Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Junior Wildlife Biologist to join our team. In this entry-level position, you will assist in conducting research and monitoring wildlife populations, contributing to conservation efforts and ensuring the health of ecosystems. You will work closely with senior biologists, gaining hands-on experience in fieldwork, data collection, and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and implementation of field studies to assess wildlife populations and habitats.
- Collect, record, and analyze data on wildlife behavior, habitat use, and ecosystem health.
- Support the development of conservation strategies based on research findings.
- Participate in field surveys, including tracking and observing wildlife in their natural habitats.
- Contribute to reports and presentations summarizing research findings for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain accurate records and databases.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Wildlife Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Strong interest in wildlife conservation and management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various outdoor environments.
Preferred:
- Experience with field research methods and data collection techniques.
- Familiarity with statistical software and data analysis.
- Knowledge of local wildlife species and habitats.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in using GPS and GIS tools for mapping and data collection.
