Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Assistant Vice President of Finance to join our dynamic financial leadership team. In this pivotal role, you will provide oversight of financial planning and analysis, ensuring the alignment of financial resources with the organization's strategic goals while fostering a culture of financial accountability and transparency.
Responsibilities
- Lead the financial planning and analysis processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate business performance and inform pricing strategies, capital investments, and operational efficiencies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial performance improvements, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and the board, translating complex financial data into actionable insights.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, overseeing audits and implementing necessary controls.
- Mentor and develop finance team members to cultivate a high-performing finance organization.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting practices, and financial regulations.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing financial strategies that drive business growth.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools, such as Excel and financial software.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Experience in the financial services industry or a large corporation.
- Professional certifications such as CFA or CPA.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in financial forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis.
- Proficient in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced spreadsheet applications.
- Experience with financial reporting tools and business intelligence software.
