Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Assistant Principal to join our leadership team. In this role, you will be instrumental in fostering a positive learning environment, supporting the school’s academic vision, and enhancing student achievement through effective leadership and collaboration. You will partner with the Principal in the daily operational management of the school, ensuring a focus on high-quality instruction and an inclusive school culture.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Principal in the administration of the school, including overseeing academic programs, student services, and staff development initiatives.
- Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement effective instructional strategies that meet the diverse needs of all learners.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress and performance, using data-driven approaches to inform instructional practices and interventions.
- Support the development of a positive school culture that promotes respect, inclusivity, and high expectations for student behavior.
- Facilitate professional development opportunities for staff, focusing on best practices in pedagogy and classroom management.
- Engage with parents and the community to build strong partnerships that support student learning and well-being.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master’s degree in Education Administration or a related field.
- Valid administrative certification/license.
- 3+ years of experience in a teaching role, with at least 2 years in an instructional leadership capacity.
- Strong understanding of curriculum design and instructional strategies.
Preferred:
- Experience in diverse educational settings, with a commitment to equity and inclusion.
- Proven track record of improving student outcomes and fostering a positive learning climate.
- Experience with educational technology and data analysis tools.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in educational management software and student information systems.
- Knowledge of assessment and evaluation methodologies.
- Familiarity with data analysis to track student performance and inform decision-making.
