Responsibilities

- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with veterinarians, tailored to individual patient needs
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding medical conditions, treatment options, and preventive care
- Ensure maintenance and cleanliness of veterinary equipment and facilities, adhering to safety protocols
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology or a related field
- 5+ years of experience as a veterinary technician, with a focus on clinical and surgical support
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) or Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) certification
- Strong knowledge of veterinary pharmacology and anesthesia protocols
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred:
- Experience in specialty veterinary practices (e.g., emergency, oncology, surgery)
- Certification in veterinary anesthesia or other specialties
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in veterinary diagnostic equipment and techniques, including digital radiography and ultrasound
- Experience with anesthesia monitoring equipment and protocols
- Knowledge of veterinary practice management software
