Role Overview
We are seeking a visionary Director of Urban Forestry to lead our strategic initiatives in enhancing urban green spaces. This role is crucial in driving sustainable urban forestry practices, promoting biodiversity, and improving the overall ecological health of our urban environments.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive urban forestry management plans that align with our sustainability goals and community needs.

Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, Urban Planning, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in urban forestry or related fields, with a proven track record of leadership and project management.
- Strong understanding of arboriculture, ecology, and sustainable land management practices.
- Experience in policy development and advocacy for urban forestry initiatives.
Preferred:
- Certification as an Arborist from a recognized body (e.g., ISA).
- Experience with GIS technology and urban forestry data management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and mobilize community stakeholders effectively.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
