Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Unemployment Benefits Claims Manager to lead and oversee the claims processing team. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your extensive knowledge of unemployment insurance programs and regulations to ensure accurate and efficient claims management, while fostering a culture of compliance and quality service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the unemployment benefits claims processing team, ensuring adherence to state and federal regulations
- Develop, implement, and refine claims processing procedures and workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Oversee the review and resolution of complex claims, ensuring timely processing and customer satisfaction
- Lead training initiatives to enhance team skills in claims processing, compliance, and customer service
- Analyze claims data to identify trends, improve processes, and report on performance metrics to senior management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address issues and implement improvements in the claims process
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in unemployment benefits administration or claims management
- In-depth knowledge of unemployment insurance laws, regulations, and best practices
- Proven leadership experience in managing teams and driving performance improvements
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision making
Preferred:
- Experience with claims management systems and automation tools
- Advanced degree in public administration, business administration, or a related field
- Certification in unemployment insurance or related professional credentials
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in claims management software and data analysis tools
- Understanding of database management and reporting systems
