Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Security Manager to join our team and lead the development and implementation of our security strategy. This role is critical in ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our information assets while mitigating risks associated with cyber threats. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of security frameworks and will be proactive in fostering a culture of security awareness across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive security policies, protocols, and procedures in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate mitigation strategies to safeguard company assets and data.
- Oversee the management of security incidents, ensuring timely response, investigation, and resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security considerations into business processes, ensuring that security is a priority at all levels.
- Lead security awareness training and initiatives to educate employees on security best practices and the importance of compliance.
- Stay abreast of the latest security trends, threats, and technology solutions, recommending enhancements to existing security measures as needed.
- Prepare regular reports for executive leadership on security posture, incidents, and compliance status.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in information security, risk management, or a related field, with a proven track record of leading security initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Experience with incident response processes and tools, including security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
- Familiarity with network security architecture, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption technologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) are highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a leadership role within a security team, preferably in a technology or financial services environment.
- Proficiency in conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
- Knowledge of cloud security practices and experience with major cloud service providers (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in security technologies and tools, including firewalls, endpoint protection, and data loss prevention (DLP).
- Hands-on experience with security monitoring and incident response tools.
- Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and scripting.
