Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tree Trimming Supervisor to lead our team of arborists in ensuring the health and aesthetics of our clients' landscapes. In this pivotal role, you will oversee tree care operations, manage crew performance, and ensure the application of best practices in tree trimming and maintenance. Your expertise will be essential in enhancing safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate tree trimming operations, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct site assessments to determine tree health and appropriate trimming techniques.
- Develop and implement training programs for team members on tree care practices and equipment operation.
- Manage crew schedules and project timelines to optimize productivity and resource allocation.
- Engage with clients to address inquiries, provide expert advice, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and evaluate crew performance, providing guidance and support to enhance skillsets.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work, equipment maintenance, and safety compliance.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in tree care, landscaping, or related field, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Certification as an Arborist from a recognized organization (e.g., ISA).
- Strong knowledge of tree species, growth patterns, and effective trimming techniques.
- Proven ability to manage teams and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with tree care equipment and machinery, including chainsaws, chippers, and lifts.
- Knowledge of local regulations regarding tree preservation and maintenance.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient with tree care management software and scheduling tools.
- Understanding of environmental best practices in landscaping and tree care.
