Role Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Transporter to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transport of goods while providing exceptional service and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate transportation vehicles for the delivery of goods to designated locations.
- Plan and execute routes effectively to optimize delivery times and minimize costs.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and other documentation as required.
- Communicate with dispatch and other team members to ensure seamless logistics operations.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations and company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns during the transport process.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in transportation or logistics roles.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in transportation.
Preferred:
- Experience with different types of transportation vehicles.
- Familiarity with logistics software and route planning tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in using GPS and other navigation systems.
- Understanding of vehicle operation and maintenance.
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and compliance systems.
