Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Student Admissions Assistant to join our admissions team. In this role, you will support the admissions process by providing exceptional service to prospective students and their families, assisting with inquiries, and ensuring a smooth application experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the admissions process from initial inquiry to enrollment, ensuring timely communication with prospective students.
- Provide accurate information about programs, admissions requirements, and deadlines to prospective students via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Review and process applications, ensuring all required documentation is collected and submitted in a timely manner.
- Coordinate and participate in admissions events, campus tours, and information sessions, providing a welcoming and informative experience for attendees.
- Maintain accurate records in the admissions database, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with the admissions team to develop and implement strategies for increasing student engagement and enrollment.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in customer service, administrative support, or admissions.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with database management.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in higher education, communications, or a related field.
- Familiarity with admissions processes and procedures in an educational setting.
- Experience with CRM software or admissions management systems.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in using databases and information management systems to track admissions data.
