Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Admissions Assistant to join our team. This role is integral to supporting the admissions process by providing exceptional administrative support, managing applicant communications, and ensuring a seamless experience for prospective students. As part of a collaborative team, you'll play a critical role in driving our mission to attract and enroll diverse talent.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the admissions process, including application review, data entry, and tracking applicant status
- Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective students, providing timely and accurate information regarding admission requirements, deadlines, and procedures
- Coordinate and schedule interviews, campus visits, and information sessions for prospective students
- Maintain accurate and organized records of applications and correspondence in our admissions database
- Support the development and distribution of admissions materials, including newsletters and promotional content
- Collaborate with the admissions team to implement recruitment strategies and outreach initiatives
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 1+ years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in higher education or admissions
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-focused approach
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with database management systems
Preferred:
- Experience working in an admissions office or similar educational environment
- Familiarity with CRM systems and online application platforms
- Understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles in the admissions process
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in data management and reporting tools
- Experience with virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams) to facilitate remote interactions
