Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Loss Prevention Manager to lead our efforts in minimizing inventory shrinkage and enhancing operational efficiency across our retail locations. You will play a crucial role in developing and implementing loss prevention strategies while collaborating with various departments to ensure a safe and secure shopping environment for customers and employees alike.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive loss prevention programs tailored to the unique needs of our retail operations
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions
- Collaborate with store management to train and educate staff on loss prevention best practices
- Analyze data to identify trends and patterns related to theft and fraud, providing actionable insights to senior leadership
- Oversee investigations of theft and misconduct, ensuring thorough documentation and adherence to legal protocols
- Implement and evaluate technological solutions, such as CCTV and inventory management systems, to enhance loss prevention efforts
- Build strong relationships with law enforcement and community stakeholders to support theft prevention initiatives
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in loss prevention, security management, or retail operations
- Proven track record of successfully reducing inventory shrinkage
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience with advanced loss prevention technologies and analytics
- Certifications in loss prevention (e.g., LPC, CFI) are a plus
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in inventory management systems and Point of Sale (POS) software
- Experience with surveillance technology and loss prevention software
- Ability to leverage data analytics tools to drive insights and actions
