Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Solar Installation Supervisor to lead our solar installation projects from inception to completion. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of solar panel installation, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our renewable energy initiatives while promoting sustainable practices within the industry.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise solar installation teams to ensure adherence to project timelines and safety protocols
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to develop project plans and schedules
- Conduct site assessments to identify optimal installation strategies and mitigate potential issues
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding solar installations
- Perform regular inspections of installation sites to monitor quality and safety standards
- Provide training and mentorship to installation team members on best practices and safety procedures
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports and compliance records
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in solar installation or a similar field, with a proven track record of successful project management
- Strong understanding of solar technology, installation techniques, and electrical systems
- Experience in leading and managing teams, with excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Familiarity with industry regulations and safety standards
Preferred:
- Certification in solar installation or related fields (e.g., NABCEP certification)
- Experience with project management software and tools
- Knowledge of renewable energy policies and incentives
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in using solar design and simulation software (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope)
- Experience with electrical systems and wiring for solar installations
- Familiarity with battery storage systems and energy management technologies
