Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Solar Installation Supervisor to lead our field teams in the execution of solar energy installations. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of solar project delivery, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate solar installation projects from pre-construction to final inspection, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
- Lead, mentor, and develop installation crews, promoting a culture of safety and operational excellence.
- Conduct on-site assessments and oversee the installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions efficiently.
- Implement best practices for safety and quality control, conducting regular site inspections and audits.
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, including installation schedules, safety meetings, and material inventories.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in solar installation or related field, with a proven track record of successfully managing installation teams.
- Strong knowledge of solar energy systems, installation techniques, and relevant safety regulations.
- Valid solar installer certification (NABCEP or equivalent) preferred.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
Preferred:
- Experience with solar project management software and tools.
- Familiarity with various solar technologies including roof-mounted, ground-mounted, and commercial installations.
- Experience in a supervisory role within a renewable energy or construction environment.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in solar design and installation software such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, or Helioscope.
- Understanding of electrical systems and wiring as it pertains to solar installations.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications to guide installation processes.
