Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sorting Supervisor to lead our remote sorting operations team. This pivotal role involves overseeing the sorting processes, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to quality standards while fostering a collaborative work culture among remote team members.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate sorting activities across multiple locations, ensuring optimal workflow and resource allocation.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for sorting processes to enhance efficiency and maintain quality standards.
- Monitor team performance and provide coaching and feedback to team members, promoting continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address any operational challenges, implementing solutions to enhance productivity.
- Utilize data analytics tools to track sorting performance metrics, prepare reports, and present findings to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 3+ years of experience in sorting operations or logistics, with a demonstrated track record of managing teams.
- Strong understanding of sorting methodologies and performance metrics.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools to track team performance and operational efficiency.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Experience with remote team management and virtual collaboration tools.
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma or similar methodologies is a plus.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with sorting technologies and software solutions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and data visualization tools.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is desirable.
