Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Parcel Post Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our parcel processing team. This pivotal role involves managing parcel flow, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and fostering an environment of continuous improvement. You will play an essential role in leading a team of logistics professionals while collaborating across departments to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day parcel processing operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in parcel handling and delivery.
- Develop and implement operational procedures that optimize parcel flow and minimize delays.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of parcel handlers to achieve performance targets and meet customer expectations.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance customer service offerings.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while maintaining a positive work environment.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in logistics, parcel processing, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven ability to manage and lead diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience with parcel tracking systems and logistics software.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics tracking tools.
- Experience with data analysis tools to assess operational metrics and performance.
- Familiarity with inventory management practices and principles.
