Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Lead Scale Clerk to oversee the scale operations in our facility. In this role, you will ensure the accurate measurement and documentation of materials and products, while leading a team of scale clerks to maintain high standards of accuracy and efficiency in our operations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the scale clerk team to ensure efficient operations
- Oversee the weighing and documentation of incoming and outgoing materials, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations
- Implement quality control measures to maintain the integrity of scale readings
- Train and mentor scale clerks on best practices and procedures related to scale operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows and resolve any operational issues
- Compile and analyze data related to scale operations to identify trends and implement process improvements
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in logistics or operations preferred
- 3+ years of experience in scale operations or related field
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
Preferred:
- Experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment
- Familiarity with weight measurement tools and software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in using scale management software and systems
- Understanding of data analysis tools for reporting and trend identification
- Basic knowledge of inventory management systems
