Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled SAS Programming Manager to lead our SAS programming team in delivering high-quality analytical solutions. In this role, you will oversee the development and implementation of SAS programs used for data analysis and reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive strategic initiatives and enhance the efficiency of our programming processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead the SAS programming team in designing and implementing robust statistical programs for data analysis and reporting.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal guidelines while overseeing the programming lifecycle from protocol development through to final reporting.
- Collaborate with biostatisticians, data managers, and clinical teams to translate complex statistical analysis requirements into efficient SAS programming solutions.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the programming team.
- Establish and enforce programming standards and best practices to enhance the quality and efficiency of SAS programs.
- Review and validate programming deliverables to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of SAS programming experience in a clinical research or pharmaceutical environment.
- Proven leadership experience in managing a team of SAS programmers.
- Deep understanding of statistical methodologies and their application in clinical trials.
- Strong proficiency in SAS programming, including advanced techniques for data manipulation and analysis.
Preferred:
- Experience with CDISC standards (SDTM, ADaM).
- Familiarity with other programming languages such as R or Python.
- Experience working in Agile project management environments.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in SAS software, including SAS Base, SAS Macro, and SAS SQL.
- Strong understanding of data management and analysis tools.
- Experience with statistical software and tools used for data analysis.
