Role Overview
We are looking for a visionary Director of Sales Training to lead the development and execution of comprehensive training programs for our sales teams. This role is critical in fostering a high-performing sales culture that drives revenue growth and enhances our competitive edge in the market. You will leverage your deep expertise in sales methodologies and instructional design to create impactful training experiences that empower our sales professionals to excel.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement innovative training programs tailored to various sales roles, focusing on both skill enhancement and knowledge acquisition.
- Establish a framework for ongoing training assessments, ensuring programs are aligned with sales goals and evolving market dynamics.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales leadership, marketing, and product teams to ensure training content is relevant, timely, and applicable to real-world scenarios.
- Utilize data-driven insights to measure training effectiveness and iterate on programs for continuous improvement.
- Mentor and support regional sales trainers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and best practices.
- Lead initiatives to evaluate and integrate new training technologies and platforms that enhance learning experiences.
- Champion the adoption of new sales tools and methodologies, facilitating change management processes.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 7+ years of experience in sales training or enablement, with a proven track record of developing successful training programs.
- Deep understanding of sales processes, methodologies, and metrics.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Experience leveraging Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other digital training tools.
Preferred:
- Experience in a leadership role within a high-growth sales organization.
- Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
- Certifications in sales training methodologies (e.g., Miller Heiman, SPIN Selling, or similar).
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning development tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate).
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) to align training with sales performance metrics.
- Knowledge of data analytics tools to assess training impact and ROI.
