Role Overview
We are seeking a Principal Rural Sociologist to join our interdisciplinary team, dedicated to understanding the complexities of rural communities and driving impactful research initiatives. Responsibilities

Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- PhD in Sociology, Rural Studies, or a closely related field.
- 10+ years of experience in rural sociology or related social science disciplines, with a strong publication record.
- Proven ability to design and conduct complex research projects with significant societal impact.
- Experience in community engagement and participatory research methods.
Preferred:
- Demonstrated success in securing research funding from governmental and non-governmental sources.
- Experience working with diverse rural populations and understanding their unique challenges.
- Strong network within the academic and research communities related to rural sociology.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R, or equivalent) and qualitative analysis tools (e.g., NVivo).
- Experience with GIS technologies for spatial analysis of rural issues.
- Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies to oversee research projects effectively.
