Role Overview
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead our quality assurance efforts and ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. In this pivotal role, you will drive the implementation of best practices in quality assurance processes, methodologies, and tools, while leading a team of QA engineers to deliver exceptional products.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement robust quality assurance strategies, processes, and metrics to ensure product quality and compliance with industry standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and proactive problem-solving.
- Oversee the creation and execution of comprehensive test plans, test cases, and automated testing frameworks to validate product functionality and performance.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and operations, to align on quality objectives and drive quality initiatives.
- Utilize data-driven insights to identify defects and areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to enhance product quality.
- Manage quality assurance documentation, including test results, defect reports, and process documentation, ensuring thorough records are maintained.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in quality assurance, continuously adapting our approach to leverage new tools and methodologies.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, with a focus on software testing and quality management.
- Proven experience in leading and mentoring QA teams, with a strong emphasis on team development.
- Deep understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and testing methodologies, including manual and automated testing.
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.
Preferred:
- Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Relevant certifications in quality assurance, such as ISTQB or equivalent.
- Knowledge of performance testing and tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools, including Selenium, Cucumber, or similar.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for test script development.
- Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git, and continuous integration tools, such as Jenkins.
