Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Public Works Inspection Supervisor to lead our inspection team in ensuring compliance with all public works construction standards and regulations. Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the activities of the inspection team involved in the construction and maintenance of public works projects.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
- Develop inspection schedules and assign tasks to team members, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
- Review and interpret engineering plans and specifications, providing feedback to project managers and engineers.
- Prepare detailed reports on inspection findings and maintain accurate records of inspections conducted.
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve any issues related to construction quality and compliance.
- Implement training programs for inspection staff to enhance their skills and knowledge of public works standards.
- Monitor project timelines and budgets, providing input on potential delays or budget overruns.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in public works inspection or related fields, with a progressive level of responsibility.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and relevant codes and regulations.
- Proven experience in managing and leading inspection teams effectively.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in public works inspection or construction management.
- Experience with project management software and inspection tools.
