Role Overview
We are seeking a visionary Director of Public Health Nutrition to lead our initiatives in promoting nutritional health and wellness across communities. This role will be instrumental in developing strategic programs and policies that address public health nutrition challenges, ensuring our organization remains at the forefront of evidence-based practices and innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive public health nutrition programs aimed at improving community health outcomes and reducing health disparities.
- Lead research initiatives to assess community nutritional needs and inform policy development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including public health officials, healthcare providers, and community organizations, to promote effective nutrition interventions.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of public health nutrition programs, utilizing data analytics to drive continuous improvement.
- Advocate for nutrition-related public health policies at local, state, and national levels.
- Provide expert guidance and training to staff and community partners on best practices in public health nutrition.

Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Public Health, Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in public health nutrition, with a proven track record of program development and implementation.
- Strong knowledge of public health principles and practices, including policy advocacy and community engagement.
- Experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and leading large-scale projects.
Preferred:
- PhD in Public Health or Nutrition.
- Experience working with governmental and non-governmental organizations on nutrition initiatives.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and methods to inform program strategy.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in data management and statistical software, such as SPSS, SAS, or R.
- Knowledge of nutrition assessment methodologies and community health metrics.
- Experience with program evaluation frameworks and grant writing.
