Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in mental health or a related field is preferred
- 3+ years of experience in a psychiatric setting, with a proven track record of leadership
- Strong understanding of mental health conditions and treatment modalities
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
Preferred:
- Certification as a Psychiatric Technician or similar qualification
- Experience in training and mentoring staff in a healthcare environment
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices in psychiatric care
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documenting patient interactions and care
- Proficient in using safety equipment and managing crisis situations effectively
