Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Proposal Manager to lead and manage the proposal development process for our organization. This role requires an individual with a strategic mindset and a strong understanding of the proposal lifecycle, who can effectively coordinate across multiple teams to create compelling proposals that win business.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end proposal development process, including planning, writing, and editing proposals in response to RFPs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and synthesize information for proposals, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
- Develop proposal strategies and themes that resonate with potential clients, showcasing our unique value proposition
- Manage proposal timelines and ensure all team members meet critical deadlines
- Review and provide feedback on proposal content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and compliance with RFP requirements
- Conduct post-proposal debriefs to capture lessons learned and improve future proposal efforts
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in proposal management or a related field, with a proven track record of successful proposal submissions
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and engaging manner
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
- Experience in a specific industry relevant to our business (e.g., technology, healthcare, government contracting)
- Familiarity with proposal management software and tools
- Advanced degree in Business, Communications, or a related field
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and PowerPoint
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello)
- Knowledge of CRM systems and document management software
