We are seeking a talented and passionate Coach/Choreographer (Ice Skating) to join our dynamic team at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities
- Design and implement engaging choreography for individual and group skating routines, tailored to the unique styles and strengths of each athlete.
- Conduct on-ice coaching sessions, providing immediate feedback to enhance technique, artistry, and performance quality.
- Develop training plans that integrate physical conditioning, mental preparation, and skill progression for skaters at various levels.
- Collaborate with fellow coaches and support staff to create a cohesive training environment that promotes athlete development and team spirit.
- Organize and lead workshops and master classes to enhance technical skills and artistic expression among athletes.
- Evaluate skaters' progress and provide constructive feedback to facilitate continuous improvement.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of coaching experience in ice skating, with a proven track record of successful athlete development.
- Strong background in choreography, with a portfolio showcasing innovative and artistic routines.
- In-depth knowledge of figure skating techniques, rules, and performance standards.
- Certification from a recognized skating organization (e.g., US Figure Skating, ISU) is preferred.
Preferred:
- Experience working with competitive skaters and preparing them for competitions.
- Background in dance or performing arts, enhancing the artistic aspect of choreography.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire skaters.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in video analysis tools to assess and improve skater performance.
- Familiarity with off-ice training techniques and conditioning programs specific to figure skating.
- Understanding of injury prevention and recovery strategies for athletes.
