Role Overview
We are looking for a Principal Product Consultant who will play a crucial role in driving product strategy and delivering innovative solutions to our clients. You will leverage your expertise in product management and consulting to guide cross-functional teams in the development and execution of product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with client needs and market trends.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic product initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders to define product vision and execute on a comprehensive product strategy
- Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to inform product development efforts
- Facilitate workshops and design thinking sessions to gather requirements and translate client needs into actionable product specifications
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of product features
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing relationships and providing expert guidance throughout the product lifecycle
- Mentor and develop junior consultants, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in product management, consulting, or a related field, with a proven track record of leading successful product initiatives
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Experience in developing and managing product roadmaps and product launch strategies
Preferred:
- Experience in a leadership role, driving cross-functional teams towards common objectives
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Relevant certifications in product management (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner, Product Management Professional)
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in product management tools such as JIRA, Aha!, or Trello
- Strong understanding of software development processes and technologies
- Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau) to derive insights and inform product decisions
