Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Precision Lens Technician to join our innovative optical engineering team at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of precision lens technicians to ensure optimal performance and adherence to quality standards
- Develop, implement, and refine manufacturing processes for precision optical lenses, including polishing, coating, and assembly
- Conduct thorough inspections and tests to validate the optical performance and quality of lenses
- Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve production issues while optimizing lens design for manufacturability
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards within the lens fabrication environment
- Manage workflow and resource allocation to meet production deadlines and quality benchmarks
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in precision optics manufacturing or a related field
- Proven expertise in lens fabrication techniques and optical metrology
- Strong understanding of optical design principles and lens specifications
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline
- Experience with advanced optical coating processes and technologies
- Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in optical design software (e.g., Zemax, Code V)
- Experience with CNC machinery and precision fabrication tools
- Knowledge of optical testing equipment and methodologies
