Role Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Plastic Straightening Roll Supervisor to oversee our manufacturing operations. In this critical role, you will be responsible for leading a team focused on the precision straightening and processing of plastic rolls, ensuring quality standards are met while optimizing efficiency and safety in our production environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the plastic straightening roll team, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
- Implement best practices in roll processing, ensuring the straightening process meets specifications and minimizes defects.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and processes to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
- Train and mentor team members on operational procedures, safety protocols, and quality control measures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance and maintenance, to resolve any production issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate production records and prepare reports on operational performance, safety, and quality metrics.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong understanding of plastic manufacturing processes, particularly in roll straightening.
- Proven ability to manage teams effectively and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred:
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards in a manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in using manufacturing software for tracking production metrics.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Understanding of roll straightening machinery and related equipment.
- Familiarity with quality inspection tools and techniques.
