Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Pipe Fitting Supervisor to lead and oversee pipe fitting operations within our organization. This role involves managing a team of skilled pipe fitters, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency in all projects. You will play a critical role in coordinating resources, maintaining schedules, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the pipe fitting team, ensuring that work is performed according to specifications and timelines
- Develop and implement project plans, including resource allocation, scheduling, and budget management
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations, conducting regular safety audits and training sessions
- Review and approve work plans and technical drawings to ensure compliance with industry standards
- Facilitate communication between project stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, and clients
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide mentorship and training to pipe fitters, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in pipe fitting or related field, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role
- In-depth knowledge of pipe fitting techniques, materials, and industry standards
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance in construction environments
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
- Experience with large-scale industrial projects
- Certification in a relevant trade or management field
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep understanding of pipe systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with CAD software for reviewing technical drawings
- Experience with quality control processes and performance metrics
