Role Overview
We are in search of a highly skilled Master Pierogi Maker to join our culinary team. This position is ideal for an individual who possesses a deep passion for traditional Polish cuisine and is skilled in crafting authentic pierogi from scratch. You will play a crucial role in upholding the quality and heritage of our dishes while innovating new flavors to delight our customers.
Responsibilities
- Expertly prepare a variety of pierogi, ensuring authenticity in taste and presentation, utilizing traditional methods and recipes
- Develop new fillings and flavor combinations, keeping abreast of culinary trends to enhance the menu
- Oversee the entire pierogi-making process from dough preparation to cooking, ensuring quality control at each stage
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to streamline production processes and improve efficiencies
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in pierogi preparation techniques and best practices
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations and policies
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in a professional kitchen, specifically in making pierogi or similar dumplings
- Strong knowledge of traditional Polish cooking techniques and ingredients
- Proven ability to create unique and flavorful pierogi fillings
- Experience in leading kitchen staff and training others
Preferred:
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification
- Experience working in a remote or virtual kitchen environment
