Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Assistant Pharmacy Manager to join our team and support the operations of our pharmacy in a fully remote capacity. This role is critical in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications, while also providing exceptional service to our patients and healthcare partners. You will work closely with the Pharmacy Manager to uphold regulatory standards and implement effective pharmacy practices.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Supervise pharmacy staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional development.
- Engage with patients to provide medication counseling and address any queries or concerns.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy management and improve patient outcomes.
- Oversee inventory management and ensure the availability of medications and supplies.
- Participate in the development and implementation of pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of controlled substances and ensure adherence to safety standards.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- PharmD degree from an accredited institution.
- Active pharmacy license in the state of practice.
- 2+ years of experience in a pharmacy setting, with a focus on medication management.
- Strong understanding of pharmacy operations and regulatory compliance.
Preferred:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role.
- Certification in pharmacy management or related credentials.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient with pharmacy management software and electronic health records (EHR).
- Familiarity with medication dispensing systems and safety protocols.
- Strong analytical skills to assess medication usage and patient outcomes.
